The poker table is usually set up in a way that is facing the front of the room. The player to the left of the dealer has the small blind. He or she is required to put a fixed amount into the pot, while the player to the right of the dealer has the big blind.
Players will bet on their hands during each round. Usually, the minimum bet is required in each round. If a player suspects that another player is bluffing, he or she can call the bluff.
